A+ 220-901 Hardware Exam Objectives

Main Domain: 4.0 Hardware and Network Troubleshooting

Sub-Objective: 4.5 – “Given a scenario, troubleshoot and repair common mobile device issues while adhering to the appropriate procedures.”

The “Start” button that takes you to Device Manager is a Windows feature that you won’t be finding on an iPhone. Some screen protectors are just thick enough to interfere with the touch screen interface. If after removing it the touchscreen works, then recommend the user get a screen protector that is licensed for iPhone. Never use potent chemicals such as window cleaner on these screens. Only wipe them with an electronic wipe, or with a soft and lint-free cloth. Just like rebooting a PC, restarting a device can eliminate a lot of dysfunctions in a device. Just like in the first choice opening Control Panel and clicking Settings will work on a Windows laptop (it’s actually Tablet PC Settings) just not on an iPhone.
